Join us for grand celebrations of Gaura Purnima on Sunday, March 4th from 12:00 pm on wards. There will be grand Abhisheka, Discourse, Arati and Prasadam.

The Supreme Lord Sri Krishna appeared as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to establish Sankirtana (chanting of the Holy Names) – the Yuga Dharma for this age of Kali. He appeared on Phalguni Purnima, the full moon day in the month of Phalguna, (Feb-March) in the year 1486 AD (1407 Shakabda) at Sridham Mayapura as the son of Sri Jagannath Mishra and Srimati Sachidevi. His parents named him Nimai since he was born under a nimba (neem) tree in the courtyard of His paternal house. His appearance day is celebrated as Gaura Purnima.

posted Jan 10, 2018, 7:10 PM by Sudhir Babu   [ updated Jan 10, 2018, 7:46 PM ]

Join us to celebrate Sankranti (Pongal) on Saturday, January 13th between 12pm - 3pm at Sri Krishna Balaram's Hasati Goshala in Vaikuntha Hill at the address 2425 Old Calaveras Rd, Milpitas, CA. Come and witness the wonderful creation of God on an auspicious day. Visitors will be able to feed the cows (Feeds/Fruits will be available for nominal donation) and can also perform Gopuja ($51) between 12pm to 3pm.

Cows and Bulls have special place in our tradition, they are integral part of our life and play a very vital role in agricultural activities by helping to plough in the fields to prepare for farming and providing the most nourishing milk for our living.  Since we take milk from the cows we treat them as our mother. Hence In various parts of India the farmers honor their cattles during Sankaranti by celebrating it as a day of thanks-giving to them and worship them for the well being of the society.

Continuous 9 Hour Kirtan on Thanksgiving Day, Nov 23rd

posted Nov 20, 2017, 12:21 PM by Sudhir Babu   [ updated Nov 20, 2017, 12:34 PM ]

Join us for continuous 9 Hour Kirtan on Thanksgiving Day, Nov 23rd from 11:30 am to 8:30 pm to express our thankfulness to the Supreme Lord Krishna! Chanting the Hare Krishna Mantra is the yuga dharma of this age and is the best way to seek the blessings of the Lord and express gratitude to Him.

In Srimad Bhagavatam (12.3.51), it is stated:
kaler doṣa-nidhe rājann, asti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ
kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya, mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet

"My dear King, although Kali-yuga is full of faults, there is still one good quality about this age. It is that simply by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, one can become free from material bondage and be promoted to the transcendental kingdom."
