Join us to volunteer for Sankranti (Pongal) on Saturday, January 19th between 12pm - 3pm at Sri Krishna Balaram's Hasati Goshala in Vaikuntha Hill at the address 2425 Old Calaveras Rd, Milpitas, CA.

Come and witness the wonderful creation of God on this auspicious day. Visitors will be able to feed the cows (Feeds/Fruits will be available for a nominal donation), decorate the calves with jewelry and can also perform Gopuja between 12pm to 3pm.

On the Actual Sankranti / Pongal day Tuesday, January 15th we will be open for extended hours in order for visitors to have an opportunity to visit and serve the cows.

Extended hours: 7:30am – 10:30am and 4:30pm – 7:30pm.

Cows and Bulls have special place in our tradition, they are integral part of our life and play a very vital role in agricultural activities by helping to plough in the fields to prepare for farming and providing the most nourishing milk for our living. Since we take milk from the cows we treat them as our mother. Hence In various parts of India the farmers honor their cattle during Sankaranti by celebrating it as a day of thanks-giving to them and worship them for the well being of the society.
