Post date: Dec 02, 2014 9:40:56 PM

Wish you all a happy 'Gita Jayanti' occasion, the day when Lord Sri Krishna instructed this sublime knowledge of Bhagavad Gita to his dear friend and disciple Arjuna.

Gita Dana Seva:

At Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir, to give most of you a chance to participate, we are celebrating this Gita Jayanti festival on a big scale on the coming Sunday (7th December). We have some wonderful activities lined up, including reciting the whole of Bhagavad Gita.

Importantly, on the coming Sunday, we are aiming to give each visiting family a copy of Bhagavad Gita book, the richest spiritual knowledge. Towards this cause, we are seeking help from all of you who would like to sponsor the Gitas to be given away to the visitors on this day. So far many people have kindly come forward and donated Bhagavad Gitas to be distributed and we thank them profusely from the bottom of our hearts, and we still need sponsorship of 250 more Bhagavad Gitas to be able to meet our goal on Gita Jayanti celebrations for this Sunday.

This Gita Dana Seva is the best seva you can offer. Donating Gita is the best gift you can ever give to anyone.

"One who gifts the Bhagavad-gita with faith & devotion, in accordance to the scriptural regulations, will surely achieve fame, fortune, good health and a devoted wife. (Vaisnaviya-tantra-sara Text 27-28). One who gives a hundred copies of the Bhagavad-Gita in charity, attains freedom from the cycle of birth and death, and attains the Absolute Truth."
